Geneva Center was borne in 1965 when the Synod of Indiana bought the property in the early 1960’s, built the Main Conference Center, Olympic-sized pool, 6 cabins and began utilizing it for its summer camps and religious meetings and retreats. The Synod of Indiana then turned Geneva Center over to the Wabash Valley Presbytery in 1974 with the Presbytery relocating its offices to Geneva Center from 1997-2016.

January 1, 2016 was marked by the start of the NEW Geneva Center Incorporated (GCI).  It is now its own 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, sitting on 235 acres, with its own board of directors.  This approach is consistent with what other church-affiliated retreat centers are doing across the U.S.  Geneva Center facilities are now open to all groups seeking a natural setting that is conducive to their event or activity.

We will continue the positive legacy of 50+ years of mission & ministry of Geneva Center while operating as an independent retreat, camp & conference center.
